Normal Wear & Tear Policy VS Major Damage - V Important!

Hi hunnies! We trust you'll treat our handmade showstoppers with lots of love and care. Our Rental Coverage Insurance has got your back for “normal wear and tear”, you know - those tiny battle scars that come with living your best life - a little stain here, a stuck zipper there, minor rips, you know the drill.

But, we get it – life happens, and sometimes things go a little bit off-script. If, for any reason, our garments face something more dramatic – like a mysterious disappearance, a major party stain, or an unexpected adventure involving a fire & you're the hero on the scene… if things get a bit wild and your garment goes beyond the normal wear and tear stage, we may need to charge you to cover the cost of fixing or replacing the product. We'll keep it fair and square, up to the Original Retail price - just enough to cover the cost of the rental, and garment we poured hours into making! This way, we can continue crafting more and keep the CESSA vibes alive.

Welp, it doesn’t fit. Can I make alterations?

No alterations, please! We want our outfits to shine as they were born to, so resist the urge to make any changes. If you feel the need to tweak a little, grab some fashion tape for a quick fix. Just remember to gently peel it off before sending the outfit back. You assume all financial responsibility for rentals altered by you or any other entity. Fees may be accessed due to alteration damages. 

We appreciate you keeping our pieces in their original fab state!


How can I ensure the piece will fit prior to me renting it though? 

CESSA is not responsible for rental items that do not fit. However, we WANT you to wear it, we WANT it to fit! So, let’s catch this problem before it happens - if you are local to San Diego, we are happy to schedule you in for an in-person fitting, that way you can try on the garment before renting it to ensure it fits. If the piece fits, but minor adjustments need to be made, (think adjusting hems, or making it a bit snugger around the waist, etc.) we are happy to adjust! But please note we may charge alteration fees. If you are not local, no need to worry! We’re happy to share all the measurements you need to ensure our garments will hug you in all the right places when they arrive. Let’s chat! 


Oops, my plans changed, Can I cancel my rental?

We totally get that plans can sometimes take unexpected turns, so here's the lowdown on rentals if things change:

Canceling up to 2 weeks before the big day (and if the dress hasn't been picked up or shipped yet): No worries, babe! You get a full refund of all the fees paid. Easy peasy! But if you cancel within 14 days of the rental start date, you will not be eligible for a refund. 

Now, we totally get it; life happens! However, to keep things fair, if your garment has already been shipped or received by you - we'll have to assume it's being worn immediately! The full rental amount will still be charged. After all, there is no way to know for certain if the garment has been worn or not.  


What if my rental arrives damaged? 

Ourrrnourr. We inspect every item thoroughly before it goes out to avoid this issue, if there are any minor faults (small rip in the lining, loose thread, etc.) but the item is still wearable, we will let you know ahead of time. In the rare case something slips through, please contact us within 12 hours of your rental delivery or pick up and we will go from there. If we have a replacement, we can one-day ship it to you. But in the case that we don’t have a replacement (and unfortunately we probably won’t since most of our pieces are 1 of 1), and the garment is still wearable, we can issue a partial refund depending on the severity of the issue!

 

How do I return my rental?

The cost of shipping your item back is already noted in your total invoice if you decide to go the shipping route! Once you receive your original packaging, you’ll find your return shipping label inside, along with a handy shipping envelope you can easily peel and stick right onto your package. With everything included, returning your garments is super simple and requires very little effort!

Did you misplace your return shipping label? No worries! We totally understand. Just shoot us an email at info@shopcessa.com at least two days before your return date, and we’ll send you a new shipping label that you can print out right at home. Easy peasy!

But for my San Diego babes - good news! You can save those shipping dollars with our in-person pick-up or drop-off option. Just give us a heads up when you're reserving your rental so we can deduct those shipping costs. Schedule your San Diego pick-up or drop-off at least 2 days before your return date, and make sure it's done before 10:00 PM on your return date to stay right on schedule. But, if things change and you can't swing the drop-off, or we can't make it to you due to your unresponsiveness, shipping costs are on you. Our return date and late policy still stand strong. 


How do late fees work? *** THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT SO LISTEN UP!***

Extra days, extra charge! Any additional days beyond the return date will be charged at $50 per day, for 7 consecutive days. Failure to return within 7 days after the agreed return date will be treated as a non-return. Cue the serious talk! We'll then charge you for the Retail Price + tax of each item. Yes, that means you'll be charged the full Retail Price – plus no refunds on the rental price, late fees, or taxes. But hey, it's to keep things fair and make sure everyone gets their chance to shine in our pieces! Each day the item is out, someone else misses the chance to flaunt it. 

Your return MUST BE scanned in and begin tracking by the mail carrier on or before your rental due date. If you drop off your return package in a drop box and it isn’t picked up by the carrier until the following business day, you’ll be charged for the days between the rental due date and when the item is scanned in by the carrier. Remember, you MUST use the provided shipping label—any other label won’t count!
Quick note: the garment isn't officially yours until it's fully paid for, and the Bill of Sale is on its way to you. Once that happens, it's yours!


Should I dry clean the garment before returning it?

Thank you, but no thank you! We will take care of all dry cleaning. This service is included in the rental coverage costs!
